ANAC Women's Talent Search: Twelve Players Selected After the Second Day

• admin

The second and final day of the women’s tryouts organized by ANAC took place this Saturday, August 15, at Sainte-Claire Park in Petite-Place Cazeau. At the end of this session, twelve players were selected to strengthen the club’s women’s roster in preparation for upcoming competitions, foremost among which is the D1 league.

Thirty-six candidates were still in the running on this decisive day, when each had to deliver a performance that lived up to expectations in order to win over the coaching staff. Under the watchful eye of Guiliano Philippe, head coach of the men’s team, and Sophia Batard, head of the women’s program, the contenders took part in a series of drills designed to highlight their technical skills and game intelligence. While some lived up to the hopes placed in them, others, however, were unable to meet the standards set by the coaches.

Following this tryout, twelve players were officially selected to join the Belair family. The women’s roster now includes about twenty players, pending the completion of administrative formalities with the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), which will confirm their full membership in the Aigle Noir.

This scouting effort, led by the Aigle Noir executive committee and team manager Salome Sandler Tally, under the supervision of sporting director Pierre Steeven Chéry and carried out by the club’s two technical staffs, represents another step in the right direction. While awaiting the FHF’s green light for the start of the D2 and the women’s championship, Aigle Noir intends to support both its male and female players with the utmost dedication to ensure they remain competitive.

To the people of Belair, we hope they will remain true to the values that form the foundation of the club’s identity—pride in victory and dignity in defeat—and we invite them to show the club unwavering support in all circumstances.
